The R66T Academy, alongside the Yorkshire Cricket Board, announce a new U12 state school cricket league, which will be funded by The R66T Academy Foundation. "R66T to Hardball" is an inclusive entry level event to encourage schools to play hardball cricket.

Applications to be part of the league are now open and any interested state schools in the Yorkshire region can apply to enter a team into the competition.
The R66T Academy is a not-for-profit organisation created to provide opportunities for everyone, everywhere to play and enjoy cricket. The Foundation is the charitable arm of The R66T Academy and one of it's focus areas is to support cricket in state schools.

The R66T Academy are working with the Yorkshire Cricket Board, and existing bodies developing school cricket, to enhance the offer already in place in schools. The 'R66T to Hardball' competition is part of this development and aims to encourage new players in secondary schools to play hardball cricket and create a pathway into the current Yorkshire Cricket Board Chance to Compete U13 and U15 hardball events.

All schools entering the R66T to Hardball League will receive;
4 hours coaching from a fully qualified ECB coach to help you prepare for the matches
Match balls for 4 league games
A set of 12 R66T Academy t-shirts to wear in the matches
15% discount on any training aids or team clothing required by the school

The competition operates on a regional basis with a North, East, South and West league. Each league has 5 places available and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The winners of each league will be invited to a Finals Day which will be run by The R66T Academy in July. This allows for plenty of time for schools to complete their four fixtures.
